Dining Out

There are lots of different types of places to eat from the Fish and Chip van that comes to Elie, to good pub grub, picnics from the Elie Delicatessen to 5 star restaurants, like Rufflets just outside St Andrews.  There's all sorts to suit all budgets and tastes. 

In Elie, the home made Pizzas at the Golf Tavern are delicious, Sangsters (for that special occasion) in the High Street is a more formal dining experience and the Ship Inn has a great varied menu.  However, our "favourite" restaurant of all time in the East Neuk (my husband would say worldwide!) is The Cellar Restaurant, East Green, Anstruther +44 (0)1333 310378.  It offers a very reasonably priced lunch time menu, the fish is fresh, a varied menu, the ambience is great (dark and candlelit, quite romantic!) and the sweet menu first class.  We can guarantee you won't be disappointed.  Like all these establishments, it's a good idea to book in advance, especially in busy season!
